Platelets work by reacting to cuts and wounds to clot blood and aid healing. Plasma contains nutrients, proteins and growth factors that repair damage and injuries. These components are therefore useful to stimulate the cells in the skin to produce collagen and elastin.

The PRP will inject into any specific areas of concern, such as under the eyes, acne scarring or lines, for targeting treatment, then a medical grade micro needling device using over the rest of the face. This creates micro-wounds to allow the penetration of the PRP into the skin and to entice the skin to increase cell turnover and healing nutrients to released in the skin. Following the treatment, antiseptic cream will applied to protect and relieve the skin.

Your skin may be red and swollen post-treatment and it is recommended that the face is not touched or wash for a minimum of four hours after the PRP treatment. However, most people will experience redness for 1-3 days after the PRP procedure, followed by up to 7 days of dryness and/or flaking of the dead skin cells. Once the skin has healed, and the dead skin cells have naturally sloughed off, the soft, new skin is revealed.
