Chemical Peel Treatments Sydney
Do you need chemical peel treatments in Sydney, but you’re not sure what to try first or where to go? Whatever treatment we do for you, your body and mind will feel rejuvenated and younger. We understand that scars, freckles, wrinkles or dark spots are not a woman’s, or even a man’s best friend.
How do chemical peels work?
Chemical peels work by dissolving keratin cementing dead skin cells together. Cells at the basal layer of the skin are stimulated to produce new cells (increasing the rate of cell turnover). This process improves the hydration and texture of the skin due to the increase of natural moisture. Inflammation due to irritated or congested skin is reduced.
Problems BioCell Cosmetic Clinic Addresses
Some people are blessed with good genes. As for the less fortunate, we have treatments available for almost every blemish or spot that you wish could disappear.
- We rejuvenate your skin by stimulating the lower layers of the skin with platelet-rich plasma, so that collagen and elastin can help reduce fine lines and scars.
- We use platelet-rich plasma in the same way to stimulate hair follicles where you are losing hair. We also follow this regrowth procedure when we need to prepare your scalp for a hair transplant.
- Our anti-wrinkle injections don’t only soften wrinkles and fine lines, but they also prevent lines from forming on the forehead, lip- and chin line. Microdermabrasion removes dead skin cells and therefore, reveals the new skin underneath. Our fillers increase volume and moisture, which prevents your skin from looking dry and tired.
If your pain barrier is non-existing, you can relax; the saying “it is painful to be beautiful” really is an old wives’ tale. Our treatments are painless, but we use a numbing agent to ensure that you stay comfortable.
The Importance of Chemical Peel Therapy
Chemical peel therapy is a superficial, medium or deep cosmetic procedure during which keratin dissolves to cement dead skin cells together. People have been using chemical peels since the time of ancient Egypt. Here are some of the chemical peels that we offer:
- Enzyme peel: When it is your first chemical peel, we recommend this one, as it is safe for sensitive skins due to its ph. balance. It contains fruit enzymes, and it controls acne, blackheads and age spots.
- Lactic peel: Lactic acid is an anti-wrinkle and pigmentation-fighting ingredient, which occurs naturally in the human skin. Lactic peel products are available with varying levels of acid content.
- Jessners peel: This peel works on the outer layer of the skin, and efficiently treats skin discolouration and acne scars.
Enzyme Peelre
Enzymes such as the papain enzyme (from raw papaya) are used and can help dissolve dead skin cells, loosen deep cellular debris, and exfoliate. This peel leaves the skin more vibrant, clearer in tone, and smooth skin texture. The enzyme peel is safe for sensitive skin and those having their first-time peel. The peel can be useful to improve mild acne and sun damaged skin.
Salicylic Peel
Salicylic acid is a Beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) that is commonly used to treat acne/oily skins. Salicylic acid targets the superficial layer of the skin. It breaks the bonds holding the cells of the skin together. The skin will then shed away and new skin cells will re-generate. Salicylic acid peels are very effective for dull and lifeless skin in need of exfoliation. The peel can improve acne and congested skin by getting deep into the pores and clearing out congestion.

Jessners Peel
Jessners peel is made up of a formulation containing 14% salicylic acid, 14% resorcinol and 14% lactic acid. It is a superficial/very superficial treatment which targets the outer layer of the skin known as the epidermis. It is useful in treating oily congested skin, acne, sun damage, freckles, fine lines and wrinkles. We recommend 3 to 6 fortnightly or monthly treatments for general rejuvenation.
